For 2012 I decided to do a photo a day, it's mostly things I make or wear but other bits and bobs too - I have been uploading them on flickr here :

My newest craft love is needle felting, I got given a starter kit by my bf for xmas, and I tried it and loved it, I made this cat:

I have been told he looks more like a fox/squirrel than a cat - but oh well, I was quite pleased for a first attempt :)
I have since brought more needles and wool and made a ginger bread man for a friend for a swap, but that is a surprise so no pics yet !

So I will be making lots of new stock for then when I have some free time, and I will share pics on here and flickr too X3

December XD

Well now Xmas and NYE are out the way I can relax a bit. December was a really busy month this year.

At the beginning of the month me and some friends went to Achtung a steampunk theme fetish/cabaret night, it was so much fun and we saw professor elemental :D
Some photos got a bit risque so I will only show a couple from before we left so you can see our outfits.

Left - Me and Becky in our outfits, mine is pretty much the same as my last expo outfit, but I made a top and some accessories with latex for the night.
Right - me and my boyfriend, he scrubs up pretty good :)

Had a pre-Xmas craft times and made some cute snowman cards for family. My friend also came round to do Xmas crafts and we painted and stabbed holes into some baubles.

Xmas eve was a day spent with friends, we had a delicious meal that we prepared together lots of drink and presents too. We also got the Snes out and had a go on Donkey Kong, I love the old games!

Xmas day was a more quiet one, just me and my boyfriend we made loads of food, drank lots of wine and worked our way through about 4 movies.

Here are some of the lovely gifts I got from friends and family:

Boxing day we saw friends again in the evening, and pretty much ate left overs all day :D

New years eve we also had people over, me and Becky started the day with crafting.

Then more friends came over, we had fun with balloons and wine - just before midnight we went outside to watch all the fireworks and sky lanterns - there were so many..forgot my camera...but they were really pretty!

Expo, gigs, handmades + halloween ^__^

It's been ages since I updated but I have been really busy :)

So October was the London MCM expo - me, my bf and a friend went together in steampunk outfits, and another friend went as rei from evangelion.
Here are our outfits :D

My outfit took quite a while to piece together and includes several vintage items and handmade pieces.

The expo was awesome as always and I came back with a massive bag full of kawaii goodies!!

Halloween was my bf birthday and he also played a gig with his metal band. It was a dress-up gig so me and my friend went dressed up, she is medusa and I was a 'not-very-good nurse'.

The band all wore suits and corpse paint, and ate a lambs heart and maggots on stage - haha, very apt for halloween!!

A few of us also went back up to London the following weekend to see Manowar in the O2, I have seen them many times but this was the 2nd time in England it was really good but I think gigs are better at festivals personally...but still VERY fun :D

No photos of actual gig cause no cameras aloud, but here is me and a friend after the gig:

I made everyone paper hats for the train ride home XD

Did a mini photoshoot with my friend, for the new jewelry I've made - she is an amature model and was happy to help - I think she has the perfect look for my stuff XD

I have also (like most people) been getting stuff ready for xmas, I am gonna make cards this year to save a bit of money, I have a large family + my bf's family it gets quite pricey!

I have also been enjoying paper crafts with my friend, we have made milk cats, box dogs, box bears, origami cats, origami bows and more cute stuff I'll get some pics up soon :)

Stall, new piercing, and other news ...

So I have been pretty busy since my last update...

I held a stall at a local craft fair 'clutter city' selling my handmade stuff like rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and hair accessories.
The sale actually went really well and was good fun, so hopefully I will do one again in December.

I will eventually be listing some stuff on my etsy shop ... soon!

I finally after about a year (or longer) got a Monroe piercing, and I really love it..was pretty painful but has healed surprisingly fast and I may be able to change the bar sooner than I hoped....no pics yet!

We also went to see Negura Bunget a Romanian black metal band, it was such a good gig, have also been watching a lot of sci-fi movies and recently started watching the anime 'Monster' it's pretty dark so good for me, but we have about 60 episodes to get through!

I am also really busy at the moment sorting out my steampunk outfit for the MCM expo in London in couple of weeks.
I am embroidering my own patches and bleaching/dying fabrics like hats, spats and shirts...it's all very exciting. Pics to come after the outfit is completed.

Some other things I have been up to are for my friends birthday I made her a cute cube pirate cat :D

I got a super cute monster high doll as a late present from a good friend. I love her I may have to buy more..

new handmade stuffs + updates

So it's been quite a while since I last updated my blogger - sorry about that!

I have been busy making a selection of new jewellery and accessories in a steampunk theme.
I will eventually be listing on my etsy shop a mix of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and hair accessories.
Here is a preview of some of the pieces I have made:

Other things I have been up to are we went to see sepultura (and got to meet them all backstage :D), went to a couple of metal gigs, I also had a tea party with friends. My bf's sister also got married and we went to that too - so a fairly busy couple of months, here are some pics:

May was a good month - my highlights were; I saw a friend I had not seen for 6 months, I went to the london MCM expo, got some awesome swaps and finished sewing lots of doll clothing to sell :D

Here is the outfit I wore to expo, plus some of my favourite outfits:

I also have a lovely new niece called Isla, I did this drawing of her for my sister and her husband and I also sewed a funny bear :

And finally, I have finished sewing my doll clothing sets, I started at the beginning of the year, they will go on sale via etsy/ebay and private sale next week.

I have recently been in contact with a new supplier in china for doll clothing, so I should have some cute new stock available soon for MSD size BJD girls :D

It has been a busy one, over the last couple of bank holidays...

Last weekend I went camping with some friends to Cromer, right near the beach - it was really nice!

We made some lovely masks...hehe

I also got some more tattoos done by a friend, so the new ones are 3 cogs on my arm and a plug socket on the inside of my arm, it's great cause I can just go round his house, or he will come round mine. Plus he is really good - so I have a full upper sleeve planned....But he was tired after tattooing all morning so I just got the 3 for now + the plug socket needs going over one more time.

This weekend my boyfriends band (Grimace) had a gig in Lowerstoft, it was great fun and they had an hour set :D

Then on Sunday, I had a stall at a boot fair with some friends and BBQ when we got home.

I managed to find 2x packs of pilot drawing pens for £2, I usually pay about £6 a pack for them :D Love a good bargain!!

I also found 2 cute necklaces for 50p - woohoo

So since I last posted I have been keeping myself fairly busy, thanks to people for the sweet comments regarding my last post - it means a lot. x

I have a new hair cut my friend did it for me, I know it's not everyones cup of tea, but I like the change, I have re-coloured it since the below pic, it's now a 'poppy red'...

I have also broken my graphics tablet :( so have done a couple of WIWT drawings by hand, I have such a rubbish selection of colours, so they aren't as 'correct' as my digital ones...

A little while ago I was doing some square bears - an I have finished them now and I think they look pretty cute I am not sure what to do with them now though...

I have been doing so many handmade stickers lately, they are a great way to take your mind of anything, I highly recommend making some.

They are all available for swapping too apart from the 2x doughnuts.

Finally we all went up to Birmingham to see manowar at the weekend, it was so awesome, bit a of blur - but I had a great time..Photo is by my friend tom. (more on my facebook)

This isn't the kind of thing I would normally talk about publicly, but I am finding it really hard to cope, so I just need to let it out. Please don't feel like you must reply.

One of my best friends body's was found in a river at the weekend, she was so beautiful and talented. I will miss her so much.

The whole things is very surreal, me and a friend will be going by her flat today to sort through some of her stuff, it will be hard, but I think it will be good healing too.

Half of me wants to stay here and deal with it, but the other half wants to run away. Grief is a very strange emotion, I don't feel myself at the moment, everything is different.

I wanted to share this picture of her, so even people who never met her can see her. She was really special and will be greatly missed.

At least now, she will finally be at peace.

sewing :D

I usually only do machine sewing, but since getting into swapbot I have been really enjoying hand sewing again, particularly with felt, I love not having to hem anything :D

Here are a few of my recently finished or in-the-process-of projects from last week ...

^ I made this jumper for a friend in a swap, it's based on one I made for my doll, but much smaller scale. She loved the fabric, and was pleased with it when she got it :D

^ This is a brooch I made as a little extra for a recent swap, I know she loves Matryoshka Dolls and I have wanted an excuse to make a Matryoshka-something for ages!

^ I am also in the middle of making some 'square-bears' hehe.

I love the little eyes, I have been looking for ages to find some flat professional bear eyes at 3mm - so was really happy to find some I really like AND the right scale.

Other news... I went to my boyfriends gig on Friday but it ended up getting canceled - which was a shame, but it meant we just hung with the band in the pub, which turned out to be pretty hilarious... But hopefully the next one wont get cancelled!

The below pic show a recent puki scale commission I finished, I love making tiny tings :D
It was actually for a tiny brownie doll, but lilith was a perfect model, I included the polka dot bow and teddy bear as free gifts.

I'm currently working on the illustration for a children's book with a friend, it is about a jazz cat. It's really early days but great fun drawing in point perspective again, I usually only draw characters - so doing backgrounds and scenes is a fun challenge X3

I'll prob get some pics up on here soon.

I have also got some great new stock in from mimiwoo, you will be able to find it via my ebay sales soon.

My poor little kitten 'pocky' has just been spay, so she is really soppy and cuddly, she has to wear a buster collar for 10 days, it's so hard watching her try to scratch and wash but not being able to.

She keeps bumping into walls and things, cute but sad too.

But she is coping really well, I got her a cat nip toy and loads of treats for when she is better.

So I decided to set up a blog, to try and organize my life a bit better...
But I have no idea how to cusomise, so.. could be a while before it actually looks okay.

In the meantime, I have given maya new wig for the new year :

Although I am not sure if I actually like it, so it wont stay for very long ....

Still feeling pretty blue, hopefully this will be a good year and I can start feeling better again.
